Irma Blanco Candle Holder

Irma Blanco, from Oaxaca, uses a clay appliqué technique utilizing small decorations layered onto larger pieces. At the age of six, Irma learned this artform from her mother and today three generations of the family continue the tradition. Irma has received numerous prizes and other recognitions for her work, we are honored to feature her for Hispanic Heritage Month.
