Each 16 x 16 embroidered piece of fabric is a one-of-a-kind creation done by our amazing artisans. Each artisan was invited to create a design that held personal significance and inspiration for them while sharing a heartfelt note about the story behind their artwork. This is what the creator, Gabriela Aguilar Vásquez, wrote about her piece:

“Mi nombre es Gabriela Aguilar Vázquez. En mi manta puse el árbol porque es uno de mis primeros dibujos de niña. También hice el pájaro, el nopal y la mariposa porque siento que representan lo que es la primavera.”

“My name is Gabriela Aguilar Vázquez. On my cloth, I included the tree because it was one of my first drawings as a little girl. I also did the bird, the cactus, and the butterfly because I feel like they represent what spring is.”
