Each 16 x 16 embroidered piece of fabric is a one-of-a-kind creation done by our amazing artisans. Each artisan was invited to create a design that held personal significance and inspiration for them while sharing a heartfelt note about the story behind their artwork. This is what the creator, Maria Gómez Gómez, wrote about her piece:

“Mi nombre es Maria Gómez Gómez. Gracias por haberme dado esto para bordar. Lo que yo bordé son todos los animales, como la culebra, jirafa, ratón, hormiga, mariposa, ardilla, el elefante y las flores.Yo disfruté mucho todo lo que bordé aquí.”

“My name is Maria Gómez Gómez. Thank you for giving me this to embroider. What I embroidered are all the animals, like the snake, giraffe, mouse, ant, butterfly, squirrel, the elephant, and the flowers. I really enjoyed embroidering everything here.”
