Each 32 x 32 embroidered piece of fabric is a one-of-a-kind creation done by our amazing artisans. Each artisan was invited to create a design that held personal significance and inspiration for them while sharing a heartfelt note about the story behind their artwork. This is what the creator, Marcelina López Gómez, wrote about her piece:

“Mi nombre es Marcelina López Gómez. Bordé esta servilleta con amor. Hice las milpas porque aquí, donde vivo, sembramos maíz para nuestro sustento diario. También me gustan mucho las flores.”

“My name is Marcelina López Gómez. I embroidered this napkin with love. I made the cornfields because here, where I live, we grow corn for our daily sustenance. I also really like flowers.”
