“The fire represents what we use to cook beans and make tortillas. The old house is made of clay and tiles, which represent our town. I have seen this turkey in neighborhoods of the community, and that gave me the idea to embroider it. We plant the cornfield for our own consumption. The sun, which rises in the morning, inspired me to embroider it in the piece.”
