"Years ago, my husband had many cattle, and I used to go with him to take care of them, which is why I drew cattle in my embroidery. I also drew milpa (cornfield) because I used to work in that, and we sold corn. Since we had plenty of corn, we also raised backyard animals like chickens and ducks. I added some flowering plants and a hummingbird because there used to be many, but now they are becoming extinct."
