Each 16 x 16 embroidered piece of fabric is a one-of-a-kind creation done by our amazing artisans. Each artisan was invited to create a design that held personal significance and inspiration for them while sharing a heartfelt note about the story behind their artwork. This is what Lus del Carmen, the creator, wrote about her piece:
“Este es mi bordado, Me gusta bordar esta flor de rosas y me hace sentir feliz de bordar estas rosas. Me hace sentir viva y me siento orgullosa de mí.”
“This is my embroidery. I like to embroider this rose flower, and it makes me happy to embroider these roses. It makes me feel alive, and I feel proud of myself.”
